Is there a peanut gallery?

Hey folks, just a reminder that Sean and I would love to read your comments about the blog. Someone out there must have an opinion. You don't have to register for anything to leave a comment, although it will be public. Of course, the only other people invited to read the blog are other family members and friends, so it's not like the whole world is going to read your comment about how awesome you think we are and then judge you on it. ;)

I guess not everyone wants to write things, and that's cool. I was just hoping for a more positive response. This is what I get for becoming addicted to the interweb. I expect immediate responses and strong opinions.

There isn't really any other new so far. I'm cat-sitting for our neighbor's cat, Ramona, who is a sweetheart. Sean and I played with her for hours last night while watching Desperate Housewives. Life is good. This morning I gave Ramona a piece of yarn to play with and her delicate, graceful disposition almost exploded.

I'm going to knit her some fuzzy mice and see what happens next.

The picture up top is a great example of the cityscape around us. Notice the mossy sidewalk and overabundance of ivy. Those little red flowers are super cool up close. You can see them better in the big version of the picture, but they're still out of focus.

The house to the right is my favorite house in the neighborhood, although there are some great ones. They have their whole yard decked out with Japanese-style plants and it just looks great when your walking past. This picture might also give you an idea of how cool the sky looks. You can see for miles in all directions, so you can see the weather patterns moving around you. This was a typically gray day, but you can see the clouds way off in the distance. There aren't any huge skyscrapers or ugly buildings jutting up into the way of the view around here.

I had to add this squirrel too, since I'm looking at him right now out my window. He sits in the gutter of the building just outside my office window to eat nuts. The roof is covered in thick moss. It's a little weird to see all the squirrels here with that orange coloring. It feels like we're in Bizarro World sometimes.

I think you should knit the squirrel a vest... and you should get him to wear a monocle... then I would have a crush on him...smooches!

Thanks for the pictures of the "hood". I always liked any mossy patches we came upon when hiking in Maine or New Hampshire.
Don't make it look TOO nice. You might create a massive immigration!
All seriousness aside, enjoyed seeing your new pump bottle line of etching.

Thanks for the comments, guys! I'll get working on the squirrel vest as soon as I finish the kitty toys and baby sweaters I'm working on. He should probably have a hat of some sort too...

Amanda and Sean,

Hey Guys! Thanks for setting this up so I can keep up! I've been meaning to write back, but life is so busy lately, I barely have time to check my email! I'm so glad you guys are happy there! Looks like its a great place, love all the pics!! I'll check in from time to time to see how you're fairing. I have to admit I'm still not down with all this new web 2.0 stuff yet, (blogs, wikki's, etc.) but, wow, it's a new world! This is a nice way to keep family and friends in the loop, and we can all kind of just chat. Great idea!

Love, Jen
